Springforth Primary Department

Our Primary take the Cambridge Curriculum at Springforth. Through the Cambridge Curriculum, early phonetic and literacy skills are developed using innovation reading methods such as the jolly phonics and oxford press reading schemes. Through jolly phonics, students develop early reading and writing skills by learning all 42 phonetic sounds of the English language and blending and segmenting sounds rather than simply learning the alphabet. Teaching and learning is differentiated according to ability and multi-sensory, catering to visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles.
The students undertake the programs of study in 3 core and 10 non-core foundation subjects.
